Shane’s whakapapa is Ngāi Tūhoe. He was born and raised in Kawerau but now lives in Auckland for more than 30 years. Shane is a Director of an IT company, a NZ Herald columnist as well as a talkback show host. He also co-hosts on Radio New Zealand the live multi-platform show, Party People, where Māori politics is the focus.
