How are you spending your time at the moment?
I’ve been watching documentaries – as an alternative to cracking on with the large number of projects awaiting my attention!
One I really enjoyed was about a family who sold everything and bought a catamaran to sail the world. I’m up for anything about boating having owned a couple of launches over the years.
Who’s a favourite author?
Barry Crump – especially A Good Keen Man. Barry was a true blue Kiwi. He wrote of his experiences and had a no bull attitude to life.
Who would you most like to hear speak at our fantasy Featherston Booktown?
I’d invite authors that write about Kiwi culture, who embrace our love for the outdoors, people who are factional not fictional. I love of motor racing so would be keen to hear from someone like Haydon Paddon – winner of the NZ Rally Championship in 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2018.
